"I am quite a fan of red, but sometimes it can be a bit too
center stage in a quilt. When the 2018 Kona® Color of the
Year came along and I saw that it was a warm, welcoming
red with a vintage feel, I knew it was going to be a color
I would be reaching for again and again. It's a color that
holds its own, but does not distract, and instead happily
invites others to sit comfortably beside it. For my project
I paired it with a lovely variety of subtle, as well as bold,
shades that complement each other beautifully. I can't wait
to create something else with this gorgeous shade and am
planning on stocking up on bolts because it's not going to
be fun when the year is up and the color is all gone!"
