Let the Music Play

Grandpa amassed quite a collection of
neckties over the years. There was one in
particular that we all remember vividly. The
whole family was at church on Christmas Eve
where all of the "adults" were in one pew,
and the "kids" (also adults) were in the pew
in front. Grandpa's hearing wasn't the best,
and he didn't realize he kept bumping the
hidden button on his tie, which then played a
Christmas song. Every time the song started,
we all just about died laughing. Gramps
was pretty proper and didn't appreciate our
behavior one bit. He kept crossing his arms
in annoyance, which would press the button and play the song, and made
our whole row all break out in inappropriate laughter again. I don't know if
Grandpa ever figured out what we were laughing at or if he was just disgusted
with us for a while, but that tie has given us years of laughter!
