I am thrilled and honored to bring you my 3rd line of Civil War-era reproduction fabrics through Robert Kaufman Fabrics. The Grandpa's Journal collection was inspired by my maternal grandfather, Paul Arthur Bischoff. Grandpa served in the Navy for 8 years and kept a journal during that time. In later years he wrote an autobiography, which is a treasured family keepsake. Grandpa was a HAM radio operator, loved the Chicago Cubs and enjoyed music. I hope you enjoy creating beautiful projects using this new collection. Creating Grandpa's Journal was a wonderful trip down memory lane and I'm so happy to share it with you. Julie, her husband Greg, and their many pets live in rural southeast Iowa. Me & My Stitches began there in 2009 when Julie started making tiny quilt blocks and turned them into jewelry. It wasn't long and she turned her hobby into a business, adding quilt patterns, ruler boxes and other fun items. In 2019 Julie joined Robert Kaufman Fabrics and designed her first line of Civil War-era reproduction fabrics. She draws inspiration for her designs from her wealth of family history and childhood memories.
