Ray #1: The first and just the beginning, Ray #1 started when I pulled fat quarters from
Kept and the Coordinates and piled them into a pleasing stack from which to cut and sew.
I wanted to see how they'd shape up since the design works from the center out. To tie
things together, I used big stitch hand quilting in dark threads in diagonal rows to bring a
new layer of order and repetition to the quilt.
